Here we go again, another busy day in Bangkok discovering this huge city. Let me introduce you to the Tuk-Tuk phenomenon… well there is nothing more to say, except most of the tuk-tuk drivers are full of crap. Just for the record the Tuk-Tuk is a three wheel bicycle with a noisy and contaminant hand maid engine. The principle of the tuk-tuk is to transport you around the city and bring you in touristic places, so you can get ripped off by the traders from the fashion clothes store, the jewelry shop, the temples etc. In exchange for their services, the tuk-tuk drivers, get gasoline tickets from the traders, when tourists buy some stuff. They bring you in different places you don’t want a go, and almost force you to spend most of your money there. In our first day in Bangkok, the first tuk-tuk driver left us behind after he dropped us off at “the standing Buddha”, cause we didn’t wanted to buy anything. We had to take another tuk-tuk to reach the boat we wanted to take at first. Finally we got to the Mekong shore and did our sightseeing boat city tour. That was fine, but not great! When we got back to the hotel, we didn’t want to take another tuk-tuk, so we walked and got completely lost in the city. Finally we had no choice to take a tuk-tuk to reach the hotel, grrrrrrrrrrrrr… Arriving at the hotel, we jumped into the pool and had a wonderful refreshing time, and then we went to eat to the famous Khao San Road. After the dinner, we went to “a shop until you drop,” trip. That was amazing! For a “shopalhic” like me, it was a dream coming true. And, it is just a beginning, because we are probably going back to shop tomorrow. How nice is going to be!
