My accommodation advice in Cancun, Park Royal Hotel!

If you plan a vacation in Cancun during the next year, I strongly recommend the Park Royal Hotel. To be sure that you will enjoy the beach and the sun as much as you can, March to end of June is the perfect season.

Although this hotel is rated 3 ½ stars, I don’t have much negative things to say about it. This hotel brings together the essentials elements to have great holiday. I was in Cancun from February 28^th to March 6^th with 4 of my friends and we all agreed to say that the Park Royal Hotel was well located in the city. It’s only a 3 minute walk, to get to the shopping center, restaurants, the Aquarium and many others attractions. Also the hotel buffet was delicious! Every day it was possible to eat different types of food. According to the inspiration of the chef, there were several thematic; as Asian foods, Italian foods, Mexican foods etc. Just one little bug, there was only one restaurant “à la carte” in the resort, but it was possible to have dinner there, every night. This Italian restaurant gave a courteous and faultless service. The waiters did a great job and they were really agreeable. We had dinner 3 times over there.

For those who like to have a disco-club at the hotel, Park Royal Hotel is not the good choice. However, each night there is a shuttle leaving from the hotel at 11 P.M, to bring the party people to the different clubs in Cancun. To have a great and unforgettable night in the city, there are a couple of renowned bars and clubs, as Coco Bongo, Senor Frogs, The City and many mores.

The only thing that deceived me during my stay was the reception and the service of the front desk. When we first arrived and all week long as well, the employees had seemed to be confused and disinterested about our questions. In spite of the reception service, they offered us better rooms. This upgrade had a good and a bad side. The offer was 2 suites with three double beds and a living room in each room. We had a view of the parking and no balcony. Be careful when you do your booking, it is not all the rooms offering an ocean view. If they propose a “garden view”, at your arrival, you have more chance to find grass, a parking or a couple of small palm trees, instead of a real garden…

But still, the hotel’s installations are very charming and extremely clean. The upper pool, located next to the bar, gives an amazing view of the ocean. However, I found that the other pool, that was close to the snack bar; was too crowdie and unfriendly.

Little tips to get easy access to a long chair at the beach, you have to get up early! Otherwise, you can steal a chair from the pool and bring it at the beach.

At last but not least, the ocean, the all you can drink cocktail and the always shining sun!

In my opinion, because of the price and the quality-service, the Park Royal Hotel is the best accommodation in Cancun!
