Celebrating 15 years of friendship, in Mexico !

Just got back from a one week trip to Cancun in Mexico and I had the chance to spend my vacation in company of 4 of my girlfriends that I really care about. It’s still hard to come back to reality after those amazing and incredible moments passed together. We had saved our money for one and a half year, in a common bank account and we finally booked our all included trip in December. We left on February 27th with peace of mind.  We were ready to have fun and also enjoy our holiday, well-deserved!
When I arrived in Mexico, I immediately felt the wind and the humidity warming my white skin (due to a serious lack of sun). I was so happy to rediscover those beautiful colors that you only have the chance to see in southern destinations; the clear blue sky, the green palm trees, the aqua water of ocean and the dark tan of vacationers. I was barely arrived at the hotel, that already I knew it would be an unforgettable vacation!
Do I really need to tell you the three rules during vacation? lazing around, tanning and drink all you can! Besides the fact that we had spent most of our time taking care of our tan, we went to explore one of the newest seven wonder of the world, called: Chichen Itza! Those Mayans ruins located in the Yucatan peninsula were considered as an important city in the Mayans civilization. Because of those two wells located in this waterless area, the presence of a Mayans city is considered a treasure. The name Chichen Itza means "the wells mouth of Itza." This derives from chi', meaning "mouth" or "edge", and ch'e'en, meaning "well." Itzá is the name of an ethnic-lineage group that gained political and economic dominance on the northern peninsula. The name is believed to derive from the Maya word, itz, meaning "magic," and the word á, meaning "water." Itzá in Spanish is often translated as "Brujas del Agua (Witches of Water)" but a more precise translation would be Magicians of Water.
After this part dedicated to history, I have to tell you that I felt in love with Mexico, at the first sight. Even if, besides Cancun, I haven’t visited other cities, I can‘t help myself comparing Mexico to other southern destinations as Cuba or Dominican-Republic. I have been in those two countries and I can say that it was great places to have vacations. However, Mexico is still the best place for holidays with friends, family or your lover. In fact, this destination brings together the essential elements to have a perfect getaway. Starting by the fact that Mexican are very nice, pleasant and smiling people. Plus, the ocean has perfect blue water and the sand is white and fine. The standards of hotel’s services are well-maintained. The food is so good that you can easily gain 5 pounds in one week (trust me I know what I’m talking about). And what about activities! There are so many; swimming with the dolphins, jungle tours, parasailing, “seadoo”, snorkeling, visiting natural parks, shopping, going out at night to nice clubs and much more!
I can say without a doubt it was my best vacation ever in an all inclusive. Besides that Cancun is amazing, the most important things who made my vacation unforgettable, was the people I had the chance to travel with. These 4 girls made the difference. Thanks to Viviane Martel, Catherine Pelletier, Isabelle Gagnon and Sabrina Rodrigue for those moments, mark in my memory forever.
El mayor del sur, México!!
